1st Voice Solutions Ltd is a Nuance Certified Partner and Instructor for Dragon NaturallySpeaking and has Certified Trainer Status for ClaroRead Premium/Plus/Standard and textHELP Read&Write Gold/Mobile/Standard - software to assist people with reading and writing difficulties.
Specialist Advice is available on:
- Different ways of working instead of the keyboard and mouse
- How to manage various impairments (disabilities) - RSI - Repetitive Strain Injury, Arthritis, Dyslexia, Mobility Issues etc., with specialist IT software and training for the work, home, or study environments
Rosalind Lawless has RSI - Repetitive Strain Injury, which in 1997 forced a total career change before she could return to employment.
She has undertaken IT Qualifications - ECDL and Pitmans, a Teachers Certificate and NVQ Assessors Awards; all using Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software.
Often life has proved challenging both personally and professionally(!) but it does mean Rosalind can today deliver training with empathy and understanding for clients' in a friendly and relaxed manner. All training is supported by training materials and practical exercises to reinforce techniques covered.
Training is always customised to the client’s needs and typically delivered on a 1:1 basis at the client's location. Many past clients have been able to successfully stay at work, return to work, or undertake qualifications. References are available on request.
A speech recognition training programme Rosalind designed in 2000 received 1 of only 16 European Awards made that year by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work
With Digital Unite IT Training Status too, the company can also offer inexperienced computer users/those lacking in confidence, training on sending and receiving e-mails, searching the Internet, producing letters etc., without their feeling IT has 'passed them by'.
